Hot Banana Pepper is a compact fast growing annual that are ready for harvest in 60-75 days (yellow) to 75-80 days (red). The 6" long pods are bright yellow when immature with a tangy, slightly sweet flavor and turn red as they mature with a sweeter and spicier flavor. Best if grown in full sun and rich, moist, acidic well-drained soils. Hot Banana has a spice range of 5000 to 10,000 Scoville Heat Units.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Water Regularly with 1-2 inches of water per week. Do not transplant deeper than previously grown. Blight, mildew, leaf spot, and mosaic virus can be issues, especially if soil is too moist or there's not good air circulation. Aphids, borers, beetles, and cutworms can be occasional issues.
